The Moody Blues arrived at the third Isle of Wight Festival in August 1970 as one of the world's top rock bands. Jimi Hendrix, The Who and The Doors were among the other attractions, but the Moodies could travel to the island content that their third album in 15 months, A Question of Balance, was sitting pretty at the top of the UK charts, so there was no doubting the Birmingham quintet's status among such stellar company.
